Who we are and why we started

Financial wellbeing education programmes for groups
Glowing lightbulb icon for wellbeing education programmes

We’re two former secondary school teachers and leaders who share a belief that young people deserve the confidence, knowledge and practical skills to navigate their futures.

With more than 35 years of combined experience in education, we’ve seen first-hand the gap that can exist between learning and real life — and wanted to do something about it.

That shared ambition became Destination Loading CIC: supporting young people aged 11–19 across the North East through engaging, practical learning experiences in schools and community settings.

Increase confidence

We help young people believe in themselves, so they approach new situations with self-assurance rather than hesitation.

Make informed decisions

We give young people the understanding to weigh up their options and choose their next step well.

To improve the life chances of young people by developing the confidence, capability and practical skills they need to make informed decisions, overcome challenges and thrive in education, work and everyday life.

Our mission

Develop skills

We build the practical capabilities young people need to take on real tasks with competence and independence.

Overcome challenges

We equip young people to meet setbacks with resilience, finding a way through rather than turning back.
